Giving to DWM |
There are a number of ways you can assist in the work of Datu Wali
Mission. Most persons give cash gifts and these are the most effective. If you choose
to contribute cash, you can make your check out to: Datu Wali
Mission Foundation and mail it to our U.S. treasurer (Treasurer,
Datu Wali Mission, 2129
Robles Dr., Antioch, CA 94509-5837).
Some have indicated an interest in shipping materials (school
supplies, new/used clothing, toys, food, etc.). While we would not
discourage someone from going to that effort, we should advise you
that the dollar goes much farther here than in the U.S., and the cost
of items you would purchase there, plus the very high shipping costs,
would dilute the value of your gift. The equivalent in cash, can
procure similar items here, in 3 to 4 times the quantity. So, we urge
you to consider this option.
We consider
financial support for missions to be in addition to what God intends
for us to do for tithes, which should always go to support the work of
your local church. Thank you for considering this ministry among all
the requests you receive, and thank you for supporting your own
church. All gifts are recognized with a tax-deductible receipt issued
by our U.S. foundation. We accept no gifts for our personal needs,
only for ministry projects. |

Foundation establishment |
The Datu Wali Mission Foundation was created as a
non-profit corporation based in Cheyenne, Wyoming. U.S. contributors
can make
financial and material donations, and receive tax credit for their
generosity. Our uncompensated board of directors and advisors holds us accountable and ensures
funds and other resources are managed with integrity and openness.
To contribute today, go the Contact DWM page on this Web site for the
U.S. address of our treasurer. Or write to us with questions about
helping.

Principles of DWM financial management
|
God called Dan and Aurea to serve as founders and administrators of
Datu Wali Mission and to support our personal living needs from the
resources with which God has blessed us. The proceeds from Dan’s
pension and investments, and sale of U.S. assets (home, RV, vehicle,
possessions) have been dedicated to this ministry plus our personal
support. We relocated to the Philippines in faith.
Because God dramatically called us here, we believe He will not abandon us. He
has also clearly shown us that any assistance our friends wish to
provide should be directed to projects directly related to our
ministry, not our personal living expenses.
Projects in need of money, materials, services, time and other resources
will be made known where they can contribute to direct needs of the mission.
This could take the form of financial aid to purchase seed,
fertilizer, fuel, farm equipment, repairs, educational materials and
supplies, plus clothing and medical supplies.
In general it is our desire to accept and utilize contributions to
DWM with as little overhead as possible. In other words, avoid
utilizing contributed dollars to pay foundation employees, fund travel
and other routine expenses (such as filing taxes, accounting audits,
etc.). Our pledge
is to be open and honest about our finances and all aspects of
ministry and operation of DWM.
We value your
commitment to pray for Datu Wali Mission, our constituents and our
family most highly. Thank you. |
